To set up TCP/IP on the
Macintosh, complete the following tasks in order:
NOTE: These
directions are for MacOS 9. If you are using a different
version follow the instructions in your owner's manual for
configuring.

Connect your Ethernet cable
(available in the bookstore or any computer retailer) to
the wall jack in your room.

From the Apple Menu,
select the Control Panels sub-menu.

Select TCP/IP

Make sure the Connect via
menu is set to "Ethernet"

Make sure the Configure
menu is set to "Using DHCP Server"

In the Search Domains
field enter obu.edu
NOTE: The DHCP
Client ID may be left blank.
Close the window and save all
changes.
