To set up TCP/IP on the Macintosh, complete the following tasks in order:

NOTE:  These directions are for MacOS 9.  If you are using a different version follow the instructions in your owner's manual for configuring.

• Connect your Ethernet cable (available in the bookstore or any computer retailer) to the wall jack in your room.

• From the Apple Menu, select the Control Panels sub-menu.

• Select TCP/IP

• Make sure the Connect via menu is set to "Ethernet"

• Make sure the Configure menu is set to "Using DHCP Server"

• In the Search Domains field enter obu.edu

NOTE:  The DHCP Client ID may be left blank.

Close the window and save all changes.
